This was my final project for my illus class. I chose to do a movie poster. Originally I was going to do Utena, as I've done TWO movie posters for it before, and I thought it would be fun to see how I'd progressed since then. But then I thought, why? He said we could make up our own movies. So I decided to use SunDowner. Originally the teacher said "no animated movies." So I groaned and went about looking for actors to use as the models for the character's faces (with a lot of help from the BBS - see Natalie Portman as Ocha, Parker Posey as Britan, and Tara Reid as Piper.) Then he changed his mind and said I could do mine animated.
It was 3 in the morning (the day the poster was do), and I still needed the Japanese characters for the title. My teacher had said he thought it would be so much cooler if I could find Japanese characters to use instead of just saying "SunDowner." (as I would have preferred to do) I was originally just going to use a word for sundown, twilight, dusk, etc. But all those were too short for what I needed (only 2 characters long and such). I guess I really could have used anything, because no one in my class understands Japanese anyway (hey, I could have used Urusei Yatsura...), but, like, I didn't want it to say something stupid. So I broke "SunDowner" down as close as I could get it, sa-nu-da-nu, and used the katakana for those. So sorry if it's completely wrong or horrible, and just play along.
So anyway, I got an A. Yay and stuff. This is now hanging in my parent's bedroom.
By the way, the SunDowner movie is rated PG-13 for ADULT LANGUAGE, ADULT SITUATIONS and MINOR VIOLENCE.
