| Chun-Li - Street Fighter
So I'm not exactly right for Chun-Li, and neither are my boots, but I thought it would be fun to do.

Construction Notes: I used a pattern for the top, altered for the sleeves and the slits up the sides. I decided to go with shiney satin instead of matte - I thought for this project it would work all right. I used yellow ribbon for all the trim and appliques - it's my least favourite thing about this costume. I wish I'd used something else, and spent some more time on getting the appliques right.
For the hairbuns, I bought some online, took them apart, and used them as patterns to make my own. The wristbands I made of foam, covered in fabric, with icing tips glued on. The boots I had bought for Ocha the year before, and while they may not be right, they're the main reason I did this costume, so I could reuse them!
The very first time I wore it, I caught one of the wrist spikes on the edge of the dress and pulled up the trim along the edge, and never fixed it. The spikes fell off the wristbands after every trip, too! It really was fun to wear, but I doubt I'll wear it again anytime soon.
