Construction Notes: I had some nice georgette that I ordered for something but then not used it for that project - so I decided I might as well use it and make a lake dress. This was about a half a year before our wedding - I was hoping to put it up on ebay and make some extra money to put towards all the wedding vendors and what-not :) I used the patterns I'd come up with in 2006, just tweaked a bit more. I did actually do the satin edging this time around, which I hated sewing on but I was pretty happy with the look in the end, for the most part. I was really, really happy with the way the georgette draped for this dress! It also took to the dye really nicely. I decided to use my original underdress from my 2006 version as the underdress for this, since I wanted to remake my own (I'd lost weight since then so I wanted to make one better fitted, and out of a different fabric). Chase made the necklace and armbands to go with it. Once I was basically done with it I was so pleased I wanted to keep it - I kept it in my costume closet for a few months before finally putting it up on ebay. Gotta make room for #6, I guess.
