Movie Uniform - X-Men/X2/X3
Chase & I were in the middle of making seven costumes for Dragoncon, and somewhere along the line he got the idea he wanted to go as Wolverine. Just a quick simple costume put together with stuff from ebay. We decided I ought to go as Rogue - we found a seller on ebay who made movie suits, and thought it would be a nice diversion and a treat to ourselves after all the work on everything else!

Construction Notes: Like I said - I didn't make this! We bought it off ebay - from user cosplayying. I've never bought anything quite like this on ebay - back in my early days of costuming, I bought an Asuka sundress off a user, but that's it - and that was before cosplay goods on ebay really skyrocketed! I had read plenty of horror stories about various "overseas" cosplay sellers - I was only worried I'd be out the money, if it didn't come in time for Dragoncon, I wasn't going to sweat it - I could always wear it later.

Well cosplayying surprised me - they replied to any emails super fast, and I had the suit in less than a month. It was well-made, although too big. I'd rather it was too big than too small, it ended up just being two hours or so of putting it on inside out, pinning it, taking it up, repeat, repeat until I was pleased. You can still tell it's a little baggy through the arms and chest, but I didn't want to mess with that area. Chase also picked up his Wolverine jacket from an ebay seller, and our duo was complete :)

For the hair, I ended up not using my Marasiah wig as I had planned - it just looked too "big." I ended up buying a cheap white wig, cutting the wrong off, and wearing it clipped onto the front of my own hair. Worked nicely, though it could still use a little trimming :) We had an awesome time wearing these at Dragoncon, especially with Joe and Danielle as Iceman and Kitty. And like I've said before, it was awesome just having a costume turn up on my doorstep! LOL.
