| Wonder Woman - DC Comics - September 2009/March 2010
|
Inspiration: I wanted to make a better fitted, somewhat different version of Wonder Woman. This isn't exactly based on one style, we went off several artists' versions of the chestpiece and belt to come up with something that we liked.
Construction Notes:
In 2009 Chase made a bodycast of me. It was an interesting experience LOL He wanted it so he could sculpt the chestpiece and belt to fit me exactly. He also took casts of my arms to make new gauntlets. Chase made the chestpiece, belt, gauntlets, and the new tiara, and used a new airbrush paint he got to paint them. The gauntlets turned out fabulous, though the gold pieces ended up looking brown. It was the night before we left for Dragoncon, so we had to quickly repaint them with regular gold spray paint so I could wear it.
For MidSouthCon, Chase upgraded the chestpiece and repainted both it and the belt. I was pretty happy with it at MidSouthCon, though Chase wants to keep working on it. I added my Scarlet Witch cape since it was cold out that weekend :)
